Frizz Season? Not If You Do This First…
You’re not frizzy.
You’re just thirsty!
April showers might bring May flowers,
but they also bring... frizz. 😅
Here’s the thing: most people think oils = frizz control. But here’s the surprise...
Frizz is actually a sign of dehydration, not dryness.
If your hair isn’t properly hydrated (read: moisture, not just sealed-in oil), it’ll pull water from the air—and puff up like a sponge in the rain.
So what do you do?
Hydrate First
Start with a water-based leave-in or hydrating cream. Look for ingredients like aloe, glycerin (if humidity isn’t too high), or panthenol.
Know Your Porosity
Low porosity? Use lightweight hydrators and avoid heavy oils. Steam or warm water helps products absorb.
High porosity? Layer hydration, then lock it in with a little butter or oil.
Style on Damp Hair
Not soaking. Not dry. Just perfectly plump. This helps your products coat the hair evenly and set your shape.
If your hair’s feeling confused this season, we got you. We’re pros at customizing spring routines based on porosity, hair type, and the ever-chaotic Tulsa weather. 😉

TIP: How to know your hair porosity?
The Water Test:
Take a clean strand of shed hair and drop it into a glass of water.
If it floats at the top, you have low porosity (water has a hard time getting in).
If it sinks slowly, you have normal porosity (your hair holds moisture well).
If it sinks quickly, you likely have high porosity (hair absorbs fast but loses moisture easily—think damage or dryness).
